I can’t help but feel like I’m taking my job way too seriously sometimes. Should I be telling my residents to be quiet all of the time, when they probably just wanna blow off steam? Am I way to overbearing and just need to remember being a freshman in college? Right now I am dealing with trying to find that fine line. How do I separate being a good Graduate Resident Director and remember being a freshman/sophomore in college at the very same time. I don’t want them to think this is a playground, but at the same time they should be able to have fun here as well.
What’s a director supposed to do?
